This Intel I226-T1 network adapter adds one RJ45 copper Ethernet port with 2.5GbE support to a system with an available full-height PCIe expansion slot. It is used to expand wired network connectivity through standard twisted-pair Ethernet cabling, with link speed depending on the attached switch port, cabling, and driver support, including 2.5Gb operation where the network infrastructure supports it.
