This Dell R1-PT pass-through module is an 8-port 1GbE I/O module for the Dell PowerEdge VRTX chassis. It provides eight external RJ-45 copper Ethernet ports, allowing VRTX server nodes to connect directly to upstream network switches instead of using an internal chassis switch module. Compatibility depends on the VRTX I/O module bay configuration, the node network mezzanine assignments, and the use of 1GbE RJ-45 cabling in the surrounding network.
