This Dell PowerEdge R740xd 4-port mid-bay hard drive riser expansion is the mid-chassis LFF storage assembly used with the R740xd 4 x 3.5-inch mid-bay drive layout. It supports up to four 3.5-inch hard drives in the mid-bay cage/backplane area, with compatibility determined by the R740xd chassis storage layout, LFF drive-carrier format, installed storage controller and cabling, and the airflow or thermal hardware required when mid-bay drives are installed.
