This Dell 4x2.5-inch Flex Bay kit is for PowerEdge R740xd servers using the 24-bay chassis layout. It supports the four 2.5-inch flex-bay drive positions in that R740xd storage configuration and should be aligned with the server’s existing bay layout, flex-bay backplane arrangement, internal storage cabling, and PERC/controller connections for the 24-bay chassis.
