This Dell 2x2.5-inch rear flex bay kit is used with PowerEdge R740xd 24-bay storage chassis layouts to provide the rear flex-bay position for two 2.5-inch drives. It should be matched to systems with the rear flex-bay chassis opening and the correct 2.5-inch drive, backplane, storage-cabling, and controller arrangement; it is also applicable to PowerEdge R740 layouts that use the same rear 2x2.5-inch flex bay option.
