This Dell NVMe SSD backplane is the bay-side storage interface for Dell Precision T5820 and T7820 tower workstations configured with FlexBay/U.2 NVMe drive support. It provides the connector interface for U.2 NVMe SSDs in the front FlexBay positions and connects those drive bays to the workstation’s internal PCIe/NVMe cabling and storage hardware. Compatibility depends on the T5820 or T7820 chassis, installed FlexBay bay layout, U.2 drive carrier style, required NVMe cables, and system support for PCIe NVMe storage.
