Dell PowerEdge VRTX Chassis Management Controller (CMC)

This Dell Chassis Management Controller is the CMC module for the PowerEdge VRTX modular chassis, providing enclosure-level management separate from the individual server-node controllers. It installs in the VRTX CMC bay and supports chassis inventory, server-node presence, shared infrastructure status, power supply and fan monitoring, thermal reporting, and alerting through the chassis management interface. Compatibility is specific to Dell PowerEdge VRTX CMC slots and depends on the chassis’ supported CMC firmware level and whether the enclosure is configured for a single-controller or redundant dual-CMC management layout.
