Dell LSI 9460-16i Controller

This Dell/Broadcom MegaRAID 9460-16i is an internal tri-mode PCIe RAID controller used in supported Dell storage configurations, including Precision workstation examples such as the T7920 and T5820. It provides 16 internal ports through four SFF-8643 connectors and supports SAS, SATA, and NVMe drive layouts, with 4GB of cache and CacheVault CVPM05 support for cache protection. Compatibility depends on the host system’s PCIe slot layout, internal SFF-8643 cable set, backplane or direct-drive cabling, drive interface mix, firmware support, and available mounting provisions for the cache-protection module.
