This Avago 16Gb/s SFP+ optical transceiver provides short-range Fibre Channel connectivity for compatible HBAs, switches, and storage systems. Designed for multimode fiber connections at 850nm, it uses an LC optical interface and is suited for SAN environments that require 16GFC links between servers and shared storage infrastructure.
A 16Gb Fibre Channel transceiver is commonly used when upgrading or maintaining higher-speed storage networks, especially where compatible 16G HBAs and switch ports are already in place.
