This Dell R650xs high performance fan is a replacement cooling module for compatible PowerEdge R650xs servers. It supports proper airflow through the 1U chassis and is used in configurations that require more cooling capacity than a standard fan module.

High performance fans may be required in R650xs systems with higher-TDP processors, dense memory configurations, NVMe or high-drive-count storage layouts, or other hardware that increases system heat output. Dell thermal guidance for the R650xs notes that HPR Gold fans are required for processor TDPs above 165W, making this fan style important for many performance-oriented server builds.
