This Dell PowerEdge R440 is a 14th generation 1U rack server configured with a 10-bay 2.5-inch front storage layout: 6x 2.5-inch SAS/SATA drive positions and 4x 2.5-inch NVMe drive positions. The mixed SFF layout supports conventional SAS or SATA storage alongside PCIe NVMe drives in the R440 chassis; final configuration depends on the installed backplane, internal cabling, RAID/HBA or NVMe enablement hardware, drive carriers, processor and memory options, and system firmware settings.
