This Dell standard heatsink is the CPU 1 processor cooling assembly for the 14th-generation PowerEdge M640 server blade. It mounts over the first processor socket and works with the M640 internal airflow design to transfer heat from the CPU into the server’s cooling path. Compatibility depends on the M640 blade layout, CPU 1 socket position, processor thermal rating, airflow shroud and fan configuration, and whether the system configuration calls for the standard heatsink rather than a higher-performance thermal option.
