This Dell ME5 controller module provides 25Gb iSCSI host connectivity for PowerVault ME5012, ME5024, and ME5084 storage arrays. It installs in the array controller bay and connects the ME5 storage system to an iSCSI SAN over 25Gb Ethernet using supported SFP-based optics or direct-attach cabling. Compatibility depends on the ME5 chassis model, controller-bay layout, single- or dual-controller configuration, matching controller type and firmware, supported 25Gb transceivers or DACs, switch speed, cabling, and the array’s intended iSCSI network design.
