This AMD EPYC 7F72 is a 24-core, 48-thread server processor in the EPYC 7002 series for SP3-socket server boards that support Rome-generation CPUs. With a 3.20GHz base frequency, up to 3.70GHz boost frequency, 192MB L3 cache, and a 240W TDP, it provides high-clock CPU resources while working with the host platform’s supported DDR4 ECC memory and PCIe 4.0 I/O capabilities. Compatibility depends on EPYC 7002 support in the server BIOS, SP3 socket and CPU population rules, heatsink and airflow capacity for the 240W thermal profile, and the memory population requirements of the motherboard.
