This Intel Xeon Gold 6438M is a 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable server processor for FCLGA4677 server boards using the Sapphire Rapids architecture. It provides 32 cores and 64 threads with a 2.20GHz base frequency, up to 3.90GHz turbo frequency, 60MB cache, 16GT/s Intel UPI, and a 205W TDP. The processor supports two-socket operation with up to three UPI links, eight-channel ECC DDR5 memory up to 4800 MT/s at one DIMM per channel or 4400 MT/s at two DIMMs per channel, and up to 80 PCIe 5.0 lanes. Installation requires BIOS support for 4th Gen Xeon Scalable CPUs, an FCLGA4677 socket board, cooling sized for a 205W processor, a supported DDR5 memory population, and a matching processor when used in a dual-socket configuration.
