Dell PowerEdge Servers for Less

The new, used and refurbished Dell PowerEdge servers we have available are listed below. If you are familiar with rack size designations, and know what you're looking for, use the size and model category selections to narrow down your search. If you are unsure about which server is right for you, here are some basic guidelines:

1U Servers are designed for maximum computing power in a small package.  They're compact, easily stackable, and pair well with any of our new or refurbished storage arrays, for those who need significant amounts of storage. Potential or common uses include web hosting, caching and load balancing, front-end to a database servers, and video streaming. Popular 1U models from Dell's 15th and 14th Generation include the Dell PowerEdge R650 and Dell PowerEdge R640

2U Servers strike a balance between high computing power, and a relatively small rack footprint. They function well as enterprise-level application & virtualization servers, and are flexible enough to fulfill many workhorse type roles. Popular 2U models from Dell's 15th and 14th Generations include the Dell PowerEdge R750, the Dell PowerEdge R740xd and the Dell PowerEdge R740

3U+ Servers are the answer if you're looking for the highest possible computing power & storage within a single unit, when rack footprint is not a concern. Loaded with more RAM DIMM's and processor sockets for the latest CPU's, these beefy systems are ideal platforms for highly virtualized server environments, massive transactional databases, and cloud computing servers. A very popular 14th Generation 3U model is the Dell PowerEdge R940.

Tower and Desktop Servers, such as the Dell PowerEdge T640 or Dell PowerEdge T440 are great for small offices. They're convenient because they don't require expensive and bulky racks in which to mount the servers, and fit easily in small spaces such as under typical office desks, under tables, or out of sight in a closet or cabinet. Tower units are typically our most popular option for small businesses.

Dell Blade servers are designed for data center use, and take up less space and use less power than standard 1U servers. You are able to mix most half height and full height Dell blades in any combination in the M1000e blade enclosure. Popular blades from recent generations include the Dell PowerEdge M640 and Dell PowerEdge M630.
