PowerVault MD3000 - DAS

The Dell PowerVault MD3000 is a 3Gb/s serial attached SCSI (SAS) expansion enclosure built for two-node clusters or direct attached to up to four PowerEdge servers . The MD3000 can hold 15 3.5-inch SAS or SATA disk drives in a single 3U rack enclosure, and it is expandable by simply adding up to two additional enclosures for a total of 45 drives and 90TB of capacity. The versatility of the PowerVault MD3000 enables you to configure the specific combination of storage resources you need now, and add more storage volume later. The PowerVault MD3000 direct attached storage array offers optional backup and data protection features: snapshot and virtual disk copy (VDC).
