PowerEdge 6850

The Dell PowerEdge 6850 is a powerful and highly scalable medium footprint 4U rack mount system, designed to support demanding database and business-critical applications such as Microsoft® SQL Server, Oracle®, PeopleSoft® and SAP®.

Available in either Dual-Core 7100 sequence MP Xeon 64-bit processors with 800MHz front side bus (Intel 8501 chipset), or 667MHz FSB Single-Core (Intel 8500 chipset), with capacity for up to 64GB of memory, and storage capacity of 1.5TB, the 6850 has the power you need with plenty of room to grow.

The Dual-Core variety is a strong candidate for use with VMware ESX Server software, enabling many different applications to run on the same hardware at the same time. Either variety features a tool-less chassis, and access to all internal components is very simple, making upgrades or modifications a breeze.
