PowerEdge 2950

The Dell PowerEdge 2950 is a reasonably priced Enterprise-class application server, and is the 2U member of Dell's 9th Generation PowerEdge family, and does not disappoint in terms of flexibility and performance, stability and flexibility. Sharing many of the same strengths as the other Gen 9 systems, the 2950 has become a highly sought-after unit, with a well-deserved reputation for power and performance.

Featuring the Intel 5000X chipset, the PE 2950 supports up to two Quad-Core or Dual-Core Xeon processors, up to 64GB of memory, and 6 hot-plug SCSI hard drive bays capable of a total of up to 4.5TB of storage, the 2950 will easily handle almost any task in today's datacenter environment. Embedded functions such as the integrated SAS storage controller, which allows use of three PCI Express slots, and dual Gigabit NIC's provide the flexibility to expand the system to handle a vast variety of tasks.
