The Dell PowerEdge 1850 is an ideal system for businesses looking for a rack-dense 1U system with dual Xeon single-core or dual-core processors, while keeping costs low. Featuring support for up to two 800MHz Front Side Bus processors, and up to 16GB of DDR2 memory, the Dell 1850 is still a very powerful system that can handle most commonly used applications that may not require bleeding edge of technology. The 1850 is also a strong candidate as an addition to a high performance cluster or VMWare applications (ESX Server 3.5).
